How to Make a Tiara Comb

Tiaras add a touch of sparkle and elegance to wedding, pageant or prom ensembles. Though headband-style tiaras are the most common, younger girls may prefer tiara combs made from curved 3- to 4-inch hair accessories. Depending on your tastes, you can customize a tiara comb to match your ensemble or make a bold fashion statement.

Instructions

Place the comb on a flat surface with the curved side up.

Cut one of the wired accessories to a length of 2 to 3 inches using wire cutters.

Wrap the wire around the edge of the comb so the beads, gems, etc. extend vertically, perpendicular to the comb.

Wrap additional wire jewelry around the edge of the comb, working from the center to the end. Cut the wire shorter and shorter as you approach the ends of the comb so the accessories form an arch shape.

Trim excess wire with wire cutters so that the end of the wire is flush with the edge of the comb. Arrange your wired accessories to create a neat, symmetrical arch or triangle shape.

Insert the teeth of the comb into the hair at the top of your head with the bejeweled edge toward your forehead.
