How to Remove Chlorine Buildup From Hair

After a long summer or vacation that includes a lot of pool time can, you might have more than just a tan. Chlorine buildup on hair can cause hair to be dry, brittle, frizzy and difficult to manage. Chlorine can also build up from showering in unfiltered water on a regular basis. You can use several methods to effectively and quickly strip the chlorine out of the hair to make it healthy and manageable once again.

Instructions

    1

    Mix two parts water with one part baking soda and rinse hair with the mixture before shampooing. Let the solution soak for a few minutes and comb through if possible to make sure the hair is evenly coated.

    Mix two parts apple cider vinegar with one part water and apply the mixture to your hair. Let it soak for several minutes and rinse completely.

    Repeat treatments on a regular basis, weekly or monthly.

    Condition the hair well after removing the chlorine.
